Breaking Out

I had to break out today; these four walls were closing in and I could feel a scream coming on if I didn't slip through the barrier.....

First place I headed was to 'Birds Unlimited'.  I've been sitting on the screen porch and in the courtyard lots since my surgery and the empty bird feeders looked so naked.   What really broke my heart was to see birds fly to the feeders and then fly away because there was no food for them.  So I decided I would correct that today.

I love our local 'Birds Unlimited' because of the sweet couple that owns the shop plus they have four rescue cats that live in the shop permanently.  One of them met me at the door and another came running.  The other two are shy so I had a watchful eye as I enjoyed looking at all the new holiday goodies.

Isn't she gorgeous.  She's the youngest and the most out going....

He really wasn't too interested in me or my camera......

The other two were not very co operative so maybe next time.

This is one of the lovely shop owners and she was busy helping a customer.  She is so warm and sweet and willing to help in any way she can.  They even take your purchases to your car..

I have to tell a funny story....My son text to see how I was doing and I responded by telling him I had just returned from the bird store.  He quickly responded by saying I hope that was a typo that I hadn't really purchased a bird.....I'd like to have a bird I replied but no I just bought bird seed.....My kids never seem to know what I might do next....but isn't it fun when we get old to be able to keep them on their toes.....:).......

Hugs and blessings, Nanci
